Lobstering, Juliet Magazine

Last March on a sunny but frigid day, I joined owner Larry of Snappy’s Lobster, and Matt his second, out of Scituate Harbor on one of their lobster boats. I grew up in the region but realized that for all my travels I knew little about this now struggling local industry. Snappy’s responsibly harvests various seafood goods for many of the top restaurants in the greater Boston area including Juliet and Peregrine.

So I was very happy to see photographs from my experience published in Juliet Magazine vol 2 , a creative endeavor of Juliet Restaurant in Somerville whose team recently opened Peregrine in Boston, award winning restaurants co-founded by Josh Lelwin and Katrina Jazayeri. They are a progressive restaurant creating greater equity and quality of life for staff through wage sharing and on the job skill training to advance everyone in their careers.
